Jeffrey Dudas

Professor, Political Science


Jeffrey R. Dudas is Professor of Political Science and a member of the Executive Committee of American Studies at the University of Connecticut. He teaches courses on law and society and American political thought. Professor Dudas has published articles in his field’s leading journals, including Law and Social Inquiry, Law and Society Review, Law, Culture, and the Humanities, and Studies in Law, Politics, and Society. His first book, The Cultivation of Resentment: Treaty Rights and the New Right  was published by Stanford University Press in 2008. Professor Dudas’s second book – Raised Right: Fatherhood in Modern American Conservatism – was published in 2017 by Stanford University Press and was awarded an Honorable Mention for the Law and Society Association’s Herbert Jacob Book Prize, which recognizes the best book in Law and Society published in the previous year.
