Robert Tilton Prize in American Studies 2023

 

This $500 prize is awarded to the best essay in American Studies written by an undergraduate student at UConn. The topic should deal with some aspect of U.S. history, literature, art, politics, or culture, or with the flow of cultures, ideas, peoples, and power across US borders.  It should be an essay five to fifteen pages in length.  The paper must have been written between Fall 2022 and the present.

 

Candidates can be nominated by others or self-nominated and must be current UConn students.  Once nominated, the candidate should send the essay and a brief cover letter AS A SINGLE PDF to martha.cutter@uconn.edu.  The cover letter should identify the course and the professor for which it was written.  The deadline is November 15, 2023.
