Jeffrey Ladewig
Associate Professor, Political Science
Jeffrey W Ladewig is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Connecticut. He is also an Associate Editor of Polity, the journal of the Northeast Political Science Association. He received his B.A. degree in Political Science and in Economics (with a mathematical emphasis) from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1993. After a couple of years of manual labor, he attended the University of Texas at Austin for graduate studies. In 2002, he earned his Ph.D. in Political Science and began teaching at the University of Connecticut.
Professor Ladewig’s research focuses on American political economy and U.S. congressional politics. These primarily include issues concerning congressional partisan and ideological polarization, international trade, income and health inequality, and congressional apportionment. His research has been published in such journals as The Journal of Politics, International Organization, Perspectives on Politics, American Politics Research, and the Connecticut Law Review.
